Juhannus 2007

We got a really good idea to go camping and spend mid-summer party to Plansee (Austria). Dennis is our Brasilian support in Ulm and like a Duracell-bunny in sports, so we also agreed to go hiking somewhere around Plansee area.

Seuraavana aamuna ponkaisemme kohtuu aikasten ylös jotta meillä olisi koko päivä aikaa kiivetä läheisen vuoren huipulle (reittikarttoja saa Planseen leirintäalueen kioskista). Itse en ole tuota vaellusta ja vielä vähemmän vuorelle kiipeämistä harrastanut, joten mielenkiinnolla odotin että kuinka puhki koivet tuosta tarpomisesta olisi. Sari lähti saattelemaan meitä muutaman kilometrin ja sen jälkeen hän palasi pitämään leiriä pystyssä.

On a first morning we got up quite early, so that we would have enough time to climb up to the top of the close mountain (hiking trail maps are available in the check-in counter of the camping area). I was really wondering how exhausted my legs would be after the climbing because I have not hiked and climbed (basically) at all. Sari came with us few kilometers and then she returned to our camp.

Kerkesimme katsella maisemia huipulta ja syödä vähän eväitä kun piti alkaa laskeutumaan takaisin leirille.

Before going back down, we had time to enjoy sceneary and have a lunch on a beautifull spot.

Vaellukseen kului aikaa muistaakseni noin 8 tuntia. Korkeuseroa tuli noin kilometri. Illalla vasta urakka alkoikin... Mirkkan tukka oli mennyt totaalisen sekaisin ja sitä sitten ilta selviteltiin...

If I remember correctly, it took us about 8 hours to go up and to get back down. Height difference was roughly 1km. In the evening we faced a real challenge... Mirkka´s hair got totally tangled up during the hiking and it took almost the whole evening to get it look like a hair again... ;o)
